Alex has argued cases before the Court of Appeal and the Divisional Court. He has appeared in both jury and non-jury trials in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. He has conducted a number of mediations and arbitrations before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal
Alex graduated from Lakehead University with both his Honours Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) in 1977. In 1980, he graduated from Univeristy of Windsor and obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree.
Alex was called to the Bar for the Province of Ontario in 1982.
