Greg Birston is the Partner in charge of Insurance and Litigation at Buset & Partners. He joined the firm in 1990, after an associate position with the firm in 1989. He has limited his area of specialty to Insurance and General Civil Litigation.
After achieving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1980 at Lakehead University, Greg attended University of Victoria, British Columbia for the period 1980 to 1983, obtaining his Bachelor of Law Degree.
Greg was called to the Bar for the Province of Ontario in April 1985.
While attending University, Greg was employed in summer months as a grain handler with Manitoba Pool Elevators as well as a labourer with Abitibi Provincial Papers in Thunder Bay.
Following graduation from the Faculty of Law at University of Victoria, Greg articled with a Thunder Bay firm. The focus of his articling experience was in the field of Labour Law and Civil Litigation.
Currently, Greg is a member of several organizations including the Canadian Bar Association, Thunder Bay Law Association, The Advocates' Society and The Insurance Institute of Ontario.
